Admitted Students for Fall

Admitted Students for Fall 2012

Congratulations on your admission to Barnard!

Newly admitted students:  We hope you have already discovered how Barnard will help you to shape your future. Resources on this page will show you learn who's who and what's what and manage the next steps.

Next steps

1. Respond to our offer by the date listed on your admit letter.
2. Pay your tuition deposit
by the date listed on your admit letter.

Please enter the secure site below using the 7-digit application ID included in your offer of admission to reply and deposit as indicated below.  For enrolling students, this will become your Barnard ID.

What's next?

Celebrate!

You're about to enter into a community of remarkable women. Revel in your accomplishments - you have earned it and more!

Stay Focused

Enjoy your present and make the most of your year.  (And, by that, we mean: stay focused and don't succumb to senioritis!)

Get The Basics

Refer to the booklet sent with your offer of admission for some of the most frequently asked questions, especially about orientation, move in, residential life, and academics.

We hope we've addressed some of what you're burning to know; as always, please contact us if you have further questions.

Fill Out Forms

...but, not until we're ready. Soon, you will receive an email from us letting you know to access the enrolling students website and start filing out select forms.

About two weeks following your reply, you will receive an email from BCIT, indicating your system update from admitted to enrolling student has been complete. This is when you may begin to set up your eBear (intranet), gBear (email), UNI (university ID), and additional forms that require these for access.

For first-years, this email will arrive in mid-May. For transfers, visitors, and students admitted off our waitlist, we anticipate you should be notified two weeks from your deposit.  Hang in there until we're ready for you!

Parents, alumnae, and students will write in our admitted students blog "The Barnard Admissions Beat" in April 2012 with advice for those considering Barnard.
